Why are we called Impact Church?

im-pact {im-pakt} noun “the action of one object coming powerfully into contact with another” As seen from the celebration of the Day of Pentecost recorded in chapter two of the Book of Acts and throughout the remainder of Luke’s account, we recognize that when the Gospel of Jesus Christ collides with ordinary life, lives are forever changed. We believe and fully act upon the belief that it is the commission of the local body of Christ to be a tool of instigation for such a collision in Northern Virginia and the greater D.C. area.

What about my kids?

As soon as you walk into the building you will notice a banner for our Impact Kids ministry and a friendly face to welcome you. Feel free to sign your kids in through a secure check-in system and proceed down the hall for refreshments and our worship gathering. They will play games, be led in a kid-friendly worship service, be taught scriptures using The Gospel Project, and have a snack time. We offer Kids Ministry/Nursery for Birth – 5th grade.

Where does Impact Church gather?

What is it like worshiping with Impact Church?

Impact Church gathers at 10:30am Sunday mornings, enjoying a warm fellowship before intimately worshiping together through song, intensely studying the Scriptures alongside one another, and reverently re-centering our lives around The Gospel by remembering the work of Christ through communion every week. You will notice that there is no dress code, and we invite you to come as you are. Whatever helps you worship Jesus – suit & tie or jeans & t-shirt, this is a non-issue for us.

Who is Impact Church affiliated with?

Impact Church is affiliated with fellow Gospel-centered organizations such as the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (SBCV), Liberty Church Planting Network (LCPN), North American Mission Board (NAMB) and a number of local church sponsorships.
