We are excited to be hosting our first ever Human Trafficking Awareness Night! Human Trafficking, specifically sex trafficking, is the modern day slavery crisis of our time. This is a battle we believe God’s Word is clear that we engage in. Together, we hope to bring freedom to hundreds held in bondage throughout Northern Virginia.
What will the evening look like?
We will be watching a documentary called NEFARIOUS. You can learn more about it here. Along with this film, we will be hearing from NOVA-HTI (Human Trafficking Initiative) and have a time of Q & A. We hope this event will raise awareness and give us lots of practical ideas on how to bring freedom to victims of human trafficking. There will also be light refreshments served throughout the evening.
What if I can’t stay the whole time?
The event will last from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. We are committed to ending on time so you may make it home safely. However, if you need to come late or leave early, please feel free to do so.
Is this appropriate for my kids?
Because of the maturity of this subject matter, we recommend that all viewers be at least 18 years of age. However, we will admit anyone younger if accompanied by a parent/guardian. The film is rated NR and has no profanity or nudity.
Will there be childcare?
No, childcare will not be provided.
How much is the event?
This event is absolutely FREE thanks to the generosity of Impact Church of Northern Virginia. However, we will be helping raise funds for NOVA-HTI.
If you have any other questions about this event, please email Kevin Fry.
