Moving Forward

Washington, D.C. and the cities surrounding it can be pretty crazy sometimes. The traffic is out of control and everyone is the most important person in the world (especially the college interns on capitol hill) 🙂 In such a fun, beautiful and busy mission field things can get pretty interesting… Especially during election season! I’ve been seeing this a lot lately…

Impact Church Moving Forward
It’s the campaign slogan for the President of the United States as he runs for re-election. Now, don’t get me wrong. This is not a political post and no statement in this blog has anything to do with the United States government or the ideology of our church. Jesus is our ideology, ok? But… Here’s the deal – Everyone sees the value and necessity of moving forward.
Moving forward from our hostility.
Moving forward from the health care debate.
Moving forward from folks losing their jobs.
Moving forward from living in debt.
Moving forward from death & disease.
Here’s the problem… It’s not a matter of moving forward that is up for debate. It’s not even about how we move forward. It’s what we move forward to. The United States government and whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Tea Party, etc. is not the solution. More laws and more debates will not fix this nation nor the hearts that compose it.
Our problem is not political, our problem is our sin.
And the answer is not who the president is, the answer is a Savior.
And that’s why we are planting a church. That’s why we are moving forward. People need to know that there is a way out of their brokenness and disappointment and His name is Jesus Christ.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting some exciting news about what this exactly looks like and ways that you can be a part of reaching our nation’s capital with the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
If we reach D.C. with The Gospel of Jesus Christ and revival reaches the hearts of the people here it would demand the attention of the entire world. Will you please pray about joining us on this humbling and desperate mission?
  • Pray for us. Hard.
  • Give financially.
  • Come join us. Even if just for a season.
