THINK ABOUT IT LIKE
GOING ON A ROAD TRIP!
Have you ever been on a road trip? I have felt
a little bit like one of the kids in the back, but
instead of asking "are we there yet," I find
myself asking, "what's happening now?" The
truth is, none of us have ever done this before.
But the great thing about being a church is
that not having a building has not set us back
at all! The mission of God is still rolling and we
are still on this great adventure TOGETHER!
As we begin to see what life is like as we get back
together, think about it like a road trip. Several
twists, turns and unexpected surprises, but lots
of fun as we trust God with the people we love the
most! Time to live the dream!
Q & A
What restrictions will we have in house churches?
We are going to abide by whatever suggestions the CDC and our local officials give us specific to churches. This includes the number of people gathered, wearing masks, etc.
Have you considered drive-in services?
While this is on the list of the numerous ideas our leadership has talked about, due to our limited space we are unable to seek this as a viable option at this time.
If we are meeting for House Churches, why can't we meet for community group?
We are trying our best to limit exposure while still providing an opportunity for us to worship together. Every community group studies different things, but Sunday morning worship brings us all together as a church.
What is a "House Church?"
"House Church" is a phrase used by Christians to describe having church in a home. It is a popular model around the world and is often found in the New Testament as a way believers gathered for worship. Click here to find a House Church to attend.
When will Colin Powell Elementary School re-open for community use?
We have no idea. While we have been in communication with the administration at CPES, we have received no news from the county. We are assuming to not be back until the Summer of 2021 at the earliest.
How is Impact Church loving NOVA during this crisis?
We have had plenty of opportunities to serve our first responders by taking them meals, purchase supplies and appreciation gifts from local businesses, distribute thousands of meals to communities in need and giving monetarily to other church plants and missionaries.
